Introduction to Illustrator

Concert Poster
You are going to design a poster for your dream concert. It could be one band or multiple. You have to pick a location for the event and date. Everything will be done in Illustrator. The poster size is 11x17” and can be portrait or landscape. You will use shapes and color to design your poster. You can use vector graphics from http://www.vecteezy.com/browseto enhance your overall design. You can also pick from an assortment of fonts from http://fontmeme.com/ ConcertPosterTutorial.doc







Objectives:

• Clear message that conveys date, venue, and who is at the concert
• 11x17” project titled “ConcertPosterYOURLASTNAME”
• Use of shapes & color to create design
• Use of text that is easy to read and correlates with overall design
• Use of stroke
• Use of live trace for Photos
